Interview – Russian information influence examined in new Report from Lund University
In a report from the Psychological Defence Research Institute at Lund University, researchers have, based on leaked documents, studied Russian malign information influence through the Doppelgänger campaign. In a video interview, James Pamment, author of the new report “Beyond Operation Doppelgänger: A Capability Assessment of the Social Design Agency,” discusses its main conclusions and the Russian Social Design Agency’s extensive information influence operations.
The conversation also covers the authors’ insights and suggestions regarding how liberal democracies can improve their ability to resist and counter information influence operations. The conversation is led by Patrik Oksanen, author and security policy expert. James Pamment is head of the Psychological Defense Research Institute at Lund University and has co-authored the report with Darejan Tsurtsumia.
