Interview with ukrainian ambassador in Sweden

What does an ambassador of a country at war say? MPF's Director General Magnus Hjort met yesterday with Ukraine's ambassador Svetlana Zalishchuk. Here is a short interview with the ambassador.
Ambassador Svetlana zalishchuk, do you have a comment on the meeting today at MPF?
– I think we have a we had a wonderful meeting with MPF. Your agency informed us of what you are doing here in Sweden, how you cooperate on the international level with NATO and EU. But also, you informed us about those projects that you do in Ukraine to support our information resilience, to make sure that our society is well informed about the challenges coming from Russia. You also informed about the instruments Russia is using and about the collaboration we have to counter the Russian information war.
What can Sweden and MPF learn from Ukraine?
Sweden can learn from Ukraine that information war is one of the essential part of the war overall. And it is not less important than the weapon Russia is you using against Ukraine, physical weapon like rockets and missiles. So you also have to think about how to protect your information space. That is very important. And the big challenges for democratic societies is how to make sure that you don't compromise your democratic values and principles while protecting your own information space.
That is something for Sweden to learn. It is also something to explore – how protection of your information space is part of your total defense concept –how to prepare your own citizens to protect themselves from the information warfare.
