Secondments
The Swedish Psychological Defence Agency recruits civilian staff primarily for postitions at EU and NATO headquarters, as well as for EU’s peace operations. Below, you can find more information about what an international posting with the Psychological Defence Agency involves.
Secondment
A secondment is a temporary posting at an international organisation, such as the EU or NATO. During a secondment, the Psychological Defence Agency is the employer and has the responsibility for the seconded employee’s workenvironment and safety, while the host organisation supervises and is responsible for the daily work assignments . The seconded employee is both Swedens and MPF’s representative abroad and the agency maintains close contact and cooperation with seconded staff throughout their contract period.
International contract
The contract for international secondments (a “URA contract”) is a key agreement setting out the terms and conditions of employment for staff seconded by government agencies to temporary positions with international organisations. During this time, the employee remains registered in Sweden, pays tax in Sweden and is also covered by the Swedish social insurance system.
The host organisation decides whether it is possible to bring family members during the secondment period.
The specific conditions of the contract are agreed on an individual basis and vary depending on whether or not you are accompanied by family. If you have any questions about specific terms and conditions, please contact us.
