Willingness to defend

Willingness to defend is about being ready and willing to protect our country, our values and our freedom from external threats. It is a combination of how we think, feel and act to withstand different types of attacks. There is currently no set definition of “willingness to defend” and over the years various actors have described the term in different ways.
Resilience

Resilience is our shared ability to deal with crises and threats to society. At a time of rapid information dissemination, it is becoming increasingly important to resist misleading information influence. Foreign powers use disinformation to influence us, and counteracting it requires both critical thinking and a strong society.

AI and malign information influence

AI has changed the way we manage and disseminate information. While the technology opens up new opportunities, at the same time it presents a challenge because it enables the rapid creation and dissemination of realistic and misleading information.

Source criticism

Each day, we are faced with information from different sources. Sometimes it can be difficult to know if we can trust what we are reading and listening to. Source criticism will help you to determine what is credible and how you can evaluate what you are reading, seeing and hearing.
Propaganda

Propaganda is messages that, through images, language or symbols, seek to influence the opinions, values or behaviour of a great many recipients. Although propaganda does not always have to involve the dissemination of false information, its purpose is always to influence how people feel and think, and change their convictions or behaviour.
Freedom of expression

In a democracy, people shall be able to think what they want and have the opportunity to express their opinions. Freedom of expression is one of our rights and a pillar of our society.
Democracy

Democracy is a system in which power is derived from the people and citizens are able to influence decisions through free and fair elections. In Sweden, as in many other countries, democracy is a cornerstone of society. But, what does that actually mean, and how can a strong democracy protect us from malign information influence?
